For example, the large panel above the central hexagon, between the Expulsion of Herod on the left and the scene of Emperor Sisismund on the right, was decorated with the superb Stories of Moses in the period between 1525 and 1547.
It was defined by the multifaceted artist and man of letters, painter, architect and Italian art historian Giorgio Vasari as the most beautiful, largest and magnificent floor ever created.
